Instructor: Jim Mudd

The Biotechnology Center is a four-year program of study for academically motivated students with interests in health sciences and related fields. This rigorous program of studies emphasizes the broad understanding of theory and the application of science to real world issues. It provides students with opportunities to pursue authentic and meaningful, hands-on research projects. The Biotechnology Program also provides students a rich environment of integrated humanities and the opportunity to enroll in a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) science courses.

Where can I get additional information about The Biotechnology Center? OP will host two informational meetings in the school auditorium. — November 16, 2011 and January 11, 2012 at 7 pm.

What is the
application deadline? All applications should be completed and submitted to the coordinator by 4 pm February 15, 2012.  New residents of Prince William County have 60 days to submit application from their time of relocation.

How do I apply?
Applications are available through the OPHS guidance department, PWCS middle school guidance departments, or by contacting the program coordinator. They can also be downloaded from the application file which is located in the files section of this page.
